A peaceful and private oasis for family and friends to gather in the heart of the city.   The design for this space incorporated parking for one vehicle and secure storage for bicycles, recycling and waste.  The shed has sliding barn style doors to maximize usable space inside and out.  The stone wall was built at a comfortable height to also provide extra seating.  All of the stone that existed on site was reused to minimize waste.  The steel door entry into the alley is operated by remote, similar to a garage door, however this one rolls into an out of site enclosure – very handy for such limited space. Lighting was added for dramatic effect on the wall and the large silver maple canopy overhead.  The planting was designed Alison Sloga: The English Gardener
